Exotic Gardening with Rare and Strange Plants

This weekend was Garagellenium, which is an annual event in Victoria where Oak Bay residents have one giant garage sale. Needless to say it was a lot of fun, I took it as an opportunity to stock up on my ceramic pot collection. “How much for these pots? *long thoughtful pause* how about 10 cents each?” PERFECT!

Later on in the day I ended up at a backyard plant sale where I saw the most amazing specimen of Acanthus spinosus. It accidently followed me home, for the meager price of $30.00, which seems like a deal to this plant nerd.

OMGosh, that is an amazing Acanthus. Will you leave it in the pot or plant it in your garden? Garagellenium–love that. You can get some real deals at garage sales, as you luckily did this past weekend. Kudos.

OMG 10 Cents a piece! That is so awesome! Good for you, I hope you got a whole bunch. Show us some if they look different. And that plant is so healthy and beautiful. I wonder why they would want to get rid of it? Oh well people can be weird.
