Lupins create an amazing bowl in their leaves that hold raindrops. Today while touring my mostly asleep garden in the back, I looked up to see this amazing sight. Although lupin flowers are impressive I think their rainy day attributes might outshine their blooms. As I saw the web of diamonds I quickly ran and got my camera. This is a tree lupin I took home from Dallas Beach as a seedling, it’s done amazingly well this year.

Hello, I’d like to share with you the wild lupins that adorn the landscape on New Zealand’s South Island during summer. Truly a magnificent spectacle.
Have a beautiful day
